Ear­li­er this year film­ing took place at  Hone’s crib in Kaka Point and a beau­ti­ful piece on the Tuwhare Crib as a Lit­er­ary Home­stead was cre­at­ed. It’s a sim­ple and hum­ble sto­ry about Hone Tuwhare — papa, koro, friend and poet who was and is deeply respect­ed and loved by so many, whose mana con­tin­ues to be felt through­out the coun­try and whose poet­ry and lit­er­ary lega­cy lives on for the next gen­er­a­tion. Thanks to the Matatuhi Foun­da­tion who sup­port­ed the Tuwhare Trust on this Hon­ey Tuwhare Lega­cy Project and to Home­steads who turned the Hone Tuwhare sto­ry into this stun­ning episode, that you can view here:
